Hermos - A Strategy Game Based on Comparative Mythology
This is an academic project, for which i have built a game based on Comparative mythology-the study of similarities and shared themes across different mythological systems. This is a strategy and luck-based board game titled Hermos, meaning harmony. The game is designed around the interaction between Hindu and Greek mythologies, encouraging players to find balance and connections between the two systems in order to win.
Key Components
Game board, cards, dice, game pieces, and rulebook

Process
Game board
The game board is designed as a map of the mythical island Ogygia, where Calypso was exiled after siding with the Titans in Greek mythology. Drawing a parallel from Hindu mythology, it reflects the cave of Swayamprabha, where Hanuman and his vanaras were momentarily trapped. This thematic connection between the two myths served as the foundation for constructing the board.
